Shark Cage Diving

Come and experience Tiger Sharks up close and personal in the natural habitat on the Great Barrier Reef. Tiger sharks are extraordinary predators that are capable of attaining a length over 5m (16ft), making them one of the largest in the food chain. Tigers are endangered and protected in Queensland waters. It’s vitally important to continue education throughout about the species behaviour and their significance of their presence in the ecosystem. We encourage conservation and research to better understand with┬ámovement patterns and habits of the magnificent Tiger shark.

Big Game offers private charters to the Great Barrier Reef. Due to the nature of activity it can take some time for the Tiger Sharks to arrive so a 2-5 day charter is recommended. This time can be spent living out on the reef on Big Games vessel. We cannot guarantee sightings of the Tiger Sharks. Please contact us for more information about this exciting adventure! Shark cages are also available for hire.

The photo shown are two healthy 10-12ft tigers. They were 2 of 7 that were swimming around the shark cage. That was great morning!
